According to the public notice issued on January 22, 2026, and available on the official NBEMS website (natboard.edu.in), the exams are proposed as follows:

  • NEET-MDS 2026 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery): Tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026. The cut-off date for completion of the mandatory one-year internship (compulsory rotatory internship) is May 31, 2026.

Both examinations will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at designated test centres across the country.

NBEMS has emphasized that these dates are tentative and subject to final confirmation. Detailed information regarding the application process, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, admit card release, result declaration, and subsequent counseling will be published in the official Information Bulletins for each exam, expected to be released on the NBEMS website in due course.

Aspirants are strongly advised to regularly check the official NBEMS portal for updates, as well as notifications from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for counseling-related information.

This early announcement of tentative dates allows candidates to plan their preparation effectively for these crucial postgraduate entrance examinations, which determine admissions to MD/MS/MDS and other postgraduate courses in government and private medical/dental institutions across India.

Candidates preparing for NEET-PG 2026 and NEET-MDS 2026 should ensure they meet the internship completion deadlines to avoid eligibility issues. Further announcements, including application opening dates, are anticipated soon.
